Group project with Ana Videto (graphic design), Sui Liu (industrial design), and Yichen Wu (industrial design) for ChaseDesign where we had to create an art kit for incoming college freshmen who are studying design. We had to create the brand, logo, slogan, how it will be packaged, how it will look on the shelves, and also create a slideshow presentation.

My main task in this group project was to create the packaging for extra items such as items that a student will need extra of (i.e. pencils and tape) and oversized items that are sold separately from the kit but a student might need (i.e. a cutting mat). I was also tasked to design our slideshow presentation with the branding created. I also helped Ana with logo ideas, colors, and typeface choices. As a group, we did research, came up with a list of items that designers use, finalized a name, and came up with a plan on how we wanted to package these items. We decided to name our art kit “.ZIP” like how a designer would zip together their digital files. The package would be made out of fabric and would be flexible enough to roll up and zip together and place into a student’s book bag for easy transportation.
